Sand and Gravel Pit Operations

DataSight provided a UAS aerial topographic survey consisting of an Autodesk Civil3D® Digital Terrain Model and Orthomosaic imagery. This 180-acre mapping project was completed within 5 days and provided complete mapping detail for this 350-foot deep pit. Our client utilized manned aviation mapping workflows for over 30 years but has now mandated DataSight methods as standard practice on all material handling operations.  Our product was completed 15 days faster than previous manned missions.

Mine Planning

DataSight processed nadir and oblique imagery in structure for motion (SFM) software to develop a three-dimensional point cloud model and produce Autodesk Civil3D® Digital Terrain Model and Orthomosaic imagery. This project was in a remote location in challenging terrain. Our team mobilized, captured data and produced the final survey grade mapping within 10 days from notice to proceed.

Landfill Grade Control

DataSight collected UAS imagery for as-built volume and grading verification for new graded landfill cell. We produced SFM software to develop a three-dimensional point cloud model and produced Autodesk Civil3D® Digital Terrain Model and Orthomosaic. Our UAS team mobilized to the site in Mohave County Arizona, captured data and produced the Digital Terrain Model within 48 hours from notice to proceed.
