Formed a five person consulting company. Initially hired by Springleaf Financial, an 800 branch consumer personal loan lender to reengineer its branch and internet lending processes. Initial findings indicated a 20-25% increase in funded loans for 2013.

Responsible for the treasury, finance and accounting functions of the company. Led successful offering of $600 million of high yield debt, which substantially improved the company’s liquidity position and its ability to grow its $60 billion dollar serving asset. 

E-LOAN, Inc. / Pleasanton, CA
President & CEO / October 2002 – January 2009 
E-LOAN was a leading retail Internet mortgage, home equity, and auto lender. Joined Board in 2002. Recruited in January of 2004 from Board to replace previous President, promoted to CEO in January 2005. Built an exceptional management team, by successfully recruiting for the positions of Chief Financial Officer, Director of Capital Markets, Chief Information Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Legal Officer and other key operating positions. Developed a nationally recognized brand by combining online search word purchases, with banner, television, direct mail, email, radio and affiliate marketing strategies.  In 2004 and 2005 increased revenues, outsourced specific line functions, lowered borrowing costs, and improved capital markets. After receiving unsolicited offers, led the effort to sell the company. The stock of the company appreciated from $2.25 in 2004 to $4.25 per share at the time of the sale to Banco Popular.

Bvfmac was a commercial loan servicing company that serviced Franchise and Gas Station Loans, Responsible for all aspects of the company – Sold majority of the company’s Assets to GMAC- Liquidated remainder of company’s assets resulting in a substantial profit to the owners of the company.

Left to take a CFO job with a large Mortgage Lender – Provident Funding- see above.
